Tips For Meat Processing

The process of meat grinding can take a long time if you donò€™t have the proper equipment, or equipment that is not capable of handling the job at hand.Ò  There are many different reasons why you might think about upgrading to a bigger and better quality grinder in order to complete the task in a shorter amount of time.Ò  If youò€™ve decided to take on the job yourself instead of having it done by a meat shop, youò€™ll find that there are plenty of tools out there to help make your meat grinding task go much more smoothly. Ò  Before we begin to discuss the task of grinding meat, we must understand why some people take on the job themselves rather than having it done by a meat shop.Ò  The answer is simple.Ò  Those who do it at home have couple different motives which include saving money and also knowing exactly what the finished product is by knowing what is being done to create the finished product.Ò  Having meat processed by a professional can be quite expensive and when compared to the cost of doing it at home, the savings are probably too great to ignore.Ò  Also, some people think that when they bring their meat to a meat shop, they may be getting meat from other sources mixed in with theirs so it is not actually a 100% mixture of the meat they brought in to have processed.Ò  This fact alone is probably one of the bigger factors for not having meat processed at a meat shop. When someone decides that they do not want to have their meat processed at a meat shop, they must process it themselves which requires the proper equipment.Ò  Grinders are pretty easy to find on the market and itò€™s best to have a grinder that can handle the amount and type of meat that you plan on grinding.Ò  If youò€™ve got a lot of meat, and you process quite often, you will want to buy a more heavy duty grinder that will last long and not have to be repaired or replaced frequently. Ò  If you opt for a smaller grinder, youò€™re likely to run into bottlenecks because youò€™ve got a lot of meat to process and not a lot of meat grinding capacity.Ò  Smaller grinders will wear out more quickly because of being overworked so it will end up costing you more in the long run because you may need to replace parts or the whole unit completely. In the end youò€™ll find it better to have bigger, better quality equipment for your meat processing needs because youò€™ll be able to grind more meat in a smaller amount of time, and youò€™ll have less issues with equipment breaking down or becoming worn out because of being overworked.Ò  Meat processing on your own can be rewarding in many ways and will benefit you in the long run.

This Italian-style chowder is perfect for lunch or it can be made into a complete dinner by adding a salad and a crusty bread. If you want to stay entirely away from the meat aspect, use vegetable broth instead of the chicken broth and omit the crumbled bacon. Either way, this is a great meal.
